황성주 프로필 사진 
건축도시시스템공학전공 황성주 교수는 서울대학교에서 박사학위를 받았으며, University of Michigan의 Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering에서 박사후연구원으로 근무한 후 2017년에 이화여자대학교에 임용되었다.
현재 도시정보지능화연구실(Urban Informatics and Intelligent Infrastructure Lab)을 이끌며 연구팀과 함께 어떻게 하면 건축물과 도시가 도시민의 삶의 질 증진에 최대한의 도움을 줄 수 있을지 고민하고 있다. 특히, 웨어러블 센싱, 컴퓨터 비전, 머신러닝과 딥러닝 기반의 AI, 공간빅데이터 등 ICT를 활용하여 도시민의 안전, 건강, 행복을 보장할 수 있는 솔루션을 만드는 연구를 다수 수행 중이며, 연구성과로 2023년까지 60여 편의 학술지 논문을 게재하였다. 
궁극적으로 지속적인 모니터링으로 사람들의 불편 요소를 신속히 파악해 즉시 개선할 수 있는 시스템이 작동하는 스마트한 도시를 구축하는 데 연구의 의의를 두고 있다.
